Bumper brackets 77 flareside
I bought a flareside parts truck which also had a set of bumper brackets in a box. These brackets are almost identical to the ones from the basket case truck.
Both trucks had the cold rolled bumper #17906 a in the third picture below(like a channel). I want to use one of these bumpers for my truck.
Today I tried to install the bumper brackets and came to a roadblock. I do not see how they fit-unless these brackets I have are incorrect. Could be.
Below are pictures of my frame. I believe that the welded nut to the frame is one spot where the bumper bracket attaches to.
The other hole that lines up with the bracket to make the bumper look somewhat correct is the top hole which has a grommet in it. But I know this is a hole that the wires go through, so this cannot be correct. I also notice that someone has drilld a hole next to the factory nut.
This next picture shows what the parts book says I need. I am installing as shown on the top picture.
These are images of the two different sets of brackets I have.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks

So guys, anyone have a flareside 1976 from serial number D75,001 to 1977/79 Flareside with a D3TZ-17906-C .. Painted Channel Rear Bumper that I could get a few pictures of the bumper brackets and the attachment?
