The DPF can be deleted and ran without physically removing and blocking off the EGR, but the DPF tuning takes care of any of the P04XX codes associated with the EGR once its unplugged for removal or staying as deadweight.

OP, I have an EGR off my '13 that was deleted at 700kms, removed at 3000kms - if you feel like shipping 40lbs from Alberta. Personally, I'd just do the full delete!

Thanks for the offer. I will probably just do the delete, and have some fun with it. I'm tempted to get into a 2017 because my trade value is pretty good like 35k.

You can delete the DPF without deleting the EGR, but you can NOT delete the EGR without deleting the DPF. The tuning software that allows the engine to function with the EGR uplugged also disables all of the sensors in the exhaust system - including the ones that trigger or monitor regens. In short order, you would plug your DPF, and the high backpressure would cause all sorts of bad issues. You can install a muffler along with the DPF delete pipe that keeps noise and drone non-existent if you need to.
