My first dentside was a 79 F-150 4x4. Bought it with 64,000mi in March of 1987 and sold it in 2014. Wish I could have kept it......was a sweet running truck.
Sold it to make room for the F-350 SCS I have now that was my Dads truck that he bought new in 1976. It sat neglected on his property for 10yrs. Has some rust on the pass. door from the blackberry bushes growing on it and the interior was pretty rough but its all replacable. Runs ok. Could use a newer engine (460). Its a work in progress.

Purchased my first dentside in 1982. it was a 1977 F250 4x4. I remember my Dad telling me I was stupid because I bought it for $3500 (US Army sign up bonus) with 30,000 miles. My Dad purchased his 77 F250 4x4 for $4200 brand new in 1978. Kept that truck until 1994 where I sold it at the Ft Benning GA. lemon lot for $2000, which in fact was the real stupid move.

Got my first truck in 1977,f250 2wd A..s you can see I had it done up 35" gumbo monster mudders on the back, 33" on the front. Got bored with that and built a short box. Chopped 16" out of the frame between the wheels, got some 16.5" western cyclone wheels. Oh ya now we got one tough ride. Way bigger brakes, dana 60. Wish I still had it.

Mine was a '76 F150 Explorer 390/C6 that my Dad bought brand new from Gene Evans Ford in Atlanta. I remember that when it came in it was the wrong color (was supposed to be Midnight Blue Metallic) and had a cloth seat. Dad told them that if they would switch in a vinyl seat that he would take it. They took a vinyl seat out of another truck on the lot (they would do those kind of things then). I still remember driving home from the dealer in it. It served farm truck use for years and Dad eventually gave it to me in 1994 or 5. I did a mechanical restoration and drove it for a couple of years. After I finished my 78 King Cobra, my wife, brother-in-law, and I finished restoring it. We had it about another 2 years when it was stolen from the local Home Depot in 2005. I don't even have any pictures of it after it was restored but it looked like this one only with white wagon wheels.
