Hi All. Have pretty much decided on going with 20X9 8X170 +19 to get a bit beefier stance without slinging too much crap up the sides.
Curious about the black wheel thing. I like it in a beastly Mad Max kind of way, but I am old school (over 50) and from where I come from a black wheel meant you couldn't afford a real wheel or else you have some serious brake dust issues! Just can't help but thinking the black wheel thing will turn out to be a fad... Then again I thought that about rap music.
Google searching custom wheels on F-250 and it's pretty much split between shine and shadow. Thoughts?
I personally don’t like black wheels. I think it is a fad and they are their way out. But to each is their own
Found this American Eagle wheel on another forum. It was custom made for this SEMA 2017 truck but I want to find out if it's a 20x10 and what backspacing is. I like this wheel1
Not sure on the offset, but I can tell it's going to be sticking waaay out of the fender.

Not sure where you're from, but black isn't really a fad where there's salt. People buy them to run them year round, most "chrome" wheels today are aluminum with coating or PVD so it's not as big of a deal. I always looked at the color and other accents of the vehicle, some cry for chrome and others don't. My previous Ram had machined/black Mayhem Riots, liked them but not sure where I'm headed on the '17. Friend of mine bought the riots and they're now on a '14 F250 and still look good, even though they were drilled for Ram and Ford I decided I wanted something new. I swap wheels in the winter so it'll come down to whatever grabs me and comes in the size and offset I want.
I wanna talk dirty to your truck...how much did those rims run you if you don't mind me asking? They were a custom
paint?

Thanks guys, sorry for the delay as I havent been online in awhile. As for the coating, it is called DDT. Fuel offers it on their Forged wheels...and your right, it wasnt cheap. It's not a perfect match to the Caribou, but it's really close. Time will tell how it holds up, but so far so good.
I have a question for those of you with a better understanding. im looking at getting a 20x9 01mm offset wheel with 35x12.5x20 toyo open country. how far will this whell tire package stick out if at all.
I have toyo 295/65R20 which is just under 11" wide on 20x9" rim with +6 offset. They sit pretty much flush on back and stick out on the front due to the profiling of the front end.
I would expect Berlin you will see 1" stick out on back and at the very front of the tire on the fronts 2.5" stick out. To get them flush they actually have to stick in a fair bit. My rough measurements put a 1.5" difference between front to the fender back.
When I first put the after market tires on I thought they where different offsets as result of the front wheel well profiling. Pulled out the tape measure lol
+20 will push the rim in even further so less stickout. It works opposite way. Nevgitive sitcks out possitive sticks in. Stock is plus 40 so closer you get to stock offset the more they are inset. Seems like most off road rims want to go negative which gives more room for the swing arms on lifts. There is a chance a plus 20 will rub but I am not 100% sure. I do know mine clear with plus 6
