Quick question that I haven't been able to find an answer to. Why is everyone upgrading to 18-20"+ wheels? My truck came with 16" wheels. Keep seeing get the bigger sizes, but why? Do the help with fuel milage? Stress on the drive train? Performance with thinner sidewalls? Don't the tires cost more for the same size, just a bigger wheel? Just curious.
Something does not add up. 17PSD pictures with +18 offset stick out more then the +6 offset rims I have currently.
Tires are both the same width. Given my rims are 20" why does PSD tires stick out so much more? Must be the tire profile?
You are right, they put on the wrong wheels. Ha. These are -12 offset.
I should have checked my stuff when I left discount, but I was in such a hurry. I like the look except for the problems with throwing dirt. Doesnt rub which is good.

I was fixing to say something is off, because my plus 18 methods don't stick out like that.

My math also suggests your tires are an inch wider then mine. I made the assumption that 295/65R20 where 35" 12.5" tires but they are 11.5" based on the calculator. Yours are 305/65R18 seems like. Why they need different numbers is a bit beyond me.
I've been looking around to see what people have and I fall in the "wheels staying in the wheel well" camp. Saw this setup when looking at more aggressive tires with decent ride quality.
Came across this thread via Google image search for the Gabber X3 tires:
Unfortunately I was too cheap to spring for the nicer looking 20" wheels during the ordering process, but man is this a nice setup. Setup is 295/65/20 tires on stock 20" wheels. Owner claims to rubbing and no suspension mods. I may have to grab a set wheels off ebay later in the year once they've been out for awhile.

those particular tires look they would be horrible at anything other than mud. I'd suggest an aggressive all terrain vs. A full on mudder.
Hi All. Have pretty much decided on going with 20X9 8X170 +19 to get a bit beefier stance without slinging too much crap up the sides.
Curious about the black wheel thing. I like it in a beastly Mad Max kind of way, but I am old school (over 50) and from where I come from a black wheel meant you couldn't afford a real wheel or else you have some serious brake dust issues! Just can't help but thinking the black wheel thing will turn out to be a fad... Then again I thought that about rap music.
Google searching custom wheels on F-250 and it's pretty much split between shine and shadow. Thoughts?
Found this American Eagle wheel on another forum. It was custom made for this SEMA 2017 truck but I want to find out if it's a 20x10 and what backspacing is. I like this wheel1
