Wanting more powe

I want to get more power out of my 1989 f150 and I have heard putting a new computer in it will help but if that's true what computer would I put in it and where do I get it?

No.. you can't force an engine of this vintage to produce more power you have to improve it's airflow first by changing hard parts. Visit the '87-96 forum and spend some time reading, there are lots of threads on this subject. If you have specific questions then post a question there.
