headers on the 5.0
i have a 2012 4x4with a 5.0 boss intake and sct tune and would like to put some long tube headers on it. im currently looking at American Racing Headers and Kooks headers. Im wondering if i can just add a set of long tube headers and keep the rest of the stock exhaust or if i will have to change it all to make any torque gains? also will i need a different tune when i install them?.

Why leave the stock exhaust on with headers? if you are going to put headers on it might as well put better exhaust on it too. Personally, I dont believe you will gain much. Id leave the stock exhaust on it.

i read you can gain some low end torque back with a good set of long tubes and im not looking for noise so thought that the stock set up with the headers added would work, just looking for some input
