Change my gaskets 3 1/2 years ago and went back to look at the pics. The last two rockers and the underside of the valve cover looks exactly like mine.

Have been crazy busy with work, but I did get around to replacing that oil pan gasket and wow that was one hell of a task for me. Halfway through I regretted not jacking up the engine because it's insanely hard to get both surfaces clean with everything in the way. The truck also seems much lower than I thought once you're up under there. I'm seriously just praying it doesn't leak because I'd prefer to not have to do that again for a very very long time, but it does feel damn good now that it's done (as long as it holds). I previously finished the gaskets, but still had everything dismantled from when I did the previous gaskets so today I put everything back together along with a bunch of new parts and just cranked it up. It's been running the past 20 minutes and I haven't seen any leaks so far so good. I won't be able to actually drive it until I get it registered sometime next week.

I am going to change the oil that I just put in it after it's been running a while because I'm pretty positive I got debris in the oil pan while changing the gasket, also I was doing it on gravel so I noticed every time I slide in and out from under the truck I was stirring up sand, dust, etc that I'm sure got in to the oil pan as well. I bought some marvel mystery oil that I'm going to put in the oil once I change it and I'll run it with that for a couple hundred miles and then change the oil again and then I think it should be good at that point. Thanks everyone for all the help, I really appreciate it

Thanks, it definitely feels good getting all of that done. The one thing I noticed is the truck idles kind of weird. It was sputtering and almost searching/surging at some points like it was about to stall, but then it would stable out and run fine for a bit and then search/surge a little again. I think I'm going to run some seafoam through the tank and then change the fuel filters and see how it runs after that. Also there's a strong fuel/gas smell while it was idling like it's burning really rich. Gas went down a good notch while it was idling for about 35 minutes so it seems like it's really burning fuel, but I'll have to watch it once I'm actually driving it so I can see what's going on. Maybe the fuel regulator is bad?
