motor swap question 351w-460

I have a 90 F-superduty with a fresh Ford factory crate 460 with low miles and mated to 5 speed. This is the pre f-450 truck with 10 lug rims etc.
I have 89 f-250, 4x4,5 speed with 351w and loooow oil pressure. So it seems I have the parts to make the 460 swap into the f-250 swap happen. My biggest question, will the computors have have to swap?
As I understand on the superduty, the ebrake bolts on back of tranny. Take that off and my tcase should bolt on to back 460/5 speed? Does this sound legit? I would like to get the 460 into the f250 4x4

Computers will have to swap.

The '90 sounds like a running truck--right?

Trans bolt up might work if they are both ZF transmissions.

460s are like sand at the beach. Just sell the '90 as a runner, and get a 460 out of some old pillow barge.

Or, do a little work on the 351w and be driving instead of chasing the dozens of "little things" that go with an engine series swap.

I'm fairly certain that the 460 and 351 bellhousing bolt patterns are different. The ZF bellhoising is part of the case so that will not work i.e. You would have to swap the engine and trans assembly.

In the junkyards around me, 460's are more like hens teeth than sand at the beach. There are lots of 300,302 & 351W engines. Has the low oil pressure been verified with a mechanical gauge or just the factory "gauge"?

I should have said "trans to TC should bolt up since they are both ZF transmissions".

Trans to engine is a no-go as indicated above. The trans has to come over with the 460, but I think that's what OP had in mind anyway.

IMO easier to fix the 351. ////.....

The 90 superduty is currently a non runner. It only needs a fuel pump but the cab is rusted beyond repair and it will not be road worthy. I had bought it for the 460 to swap into a bronco but that project is gone. I know the history and PO of the truck, this motor is sweet.
I have no intentions of trying to mate the 460 to the 351 5spd
I want to pull the 351,5spd and tcase. The pull the 460, 5pd.
Now from what little info I can find on the net, the ebrake for the superduty is on the back of the 5 speed. Supposedly I can remove the ebrake assembly from back of 5 spd and bolt on my tcase from the 351 setup? Put the 460,5pd, and tcase back into the f-250. BTW, the f-250 is super clean.
I want to keep the the 351 for my mustang drag car we are building as a back up block.
The 90 is 100 miles from me at our property so I cant just go run out and look at it. Any ideas? If this dont work, I will just cut my loss's and sell it all

Yes, the zf in the F-superduty is a 4x4 trans with a park brake on the back. The transfer case will bolt up no problem.
The only two issues are:
1) frame perches for the motor mounts. It is a bit of a pain, but remove the bolts/rivets and swap the perches. It will allow you to use factory motor mounts. The perches from the f-superduty will bolt in the f-250 frame.

2) oil filter. buy an oil filter relocation kit from summit. you will see why when you have the engines out. Not a big deal.

Also, being close in year the wiring should be plug and play.

This is correct as the frame for the 460 is chamfered to make room for the oil cooler adaptor. I recommend you upgrade to braided hoses, tho (guess how I know this). I put my oil filter up behind the front bumper.

You will also need the 460 engine harness as the ignition module is remote mounted on the fender whereas the 351W has it on the distributor.
