Here are my projects.
1977 F150 Supercab Custom automatic 300 I6.
Truck was bought new in '77 by my great-uncle. He sold it to my grandfather, and I inherited it from him. It's got 77k miles. It didn't have factory A/C and has the non radio dash. However, it has a Ford Dealer A/C system. Can't get parts for it, so I'll be trying to find another way to get A/C in it. Has some floor board rust in the backseat floor. And small rust holes in the drip rails. I'm going to swap the single tank long bed for a 79 ranger dual tank bed. Also Swapping doors and front fenders. Along with the beltline trim. The original 300 is at the machine shop I used to work at. It's been bored .030 over to clean up some slop in the 6th cylinder. I coulda gotten away with .020, but I went 30. I upgraded the cylinder head to SI custom valves with SBC head sizes. Cleaned up the chamber area and the intake and exhaust bowls. Gonna run an offy quad setup. Changing interior color from the white and tan to white and blue. Using parts from a 79 reg cab parts truck.
Here's the 1979 F150 Ranger XLT donor truck.
The second truck, is a 1979 F150 regular cab Custom. It had a 351w, previous owner pulled it to swap into his 75. I've got a used 302 to put in it, but dunno if I'm going to get a different one or not. Just putting this truck together to get it on the road asap. I also have a replacement grill with correct square headlights for it. The headlights on it now are from a 75 grille he had on it originally.
A 302 will be a gutless wonder. TQ is what these trucks need. It'll just be just okay if ya live in the flatlands... add hills n dales and you'll want more cubes and TQ.
