Cup holder Suggestions

This is what I'm working with. Anything better exist? I'll do fiberglass work if needed, but would prefer something premade

What if you cut the bottom out so the cup would sit in the hole lower?

If you did not want anything to drip inside use fiberglass to fix the bottom back on just lower.

Last year I picked up a Clutter Catcher at a yard sale for $15 and adapted it to fit my truck. I'm really happy with it. You can still find them new online.

Just bought an 84 and looks like the old man who owned it just before me just screwed these little basket cupholders straight into the dash with two screws on each. I don't know how he did it without cracking the dash but he did it somehow

I am considering something like this on the drivers side. The only other option I was thinking about could use 2 small pieces of 2.5" schedule 10 (just a guess on the size pipe) pipe and fabricate a cup holder. Then bolt it directly to the bottom frame rail of the seat. It would be out of the shifter's reach at that point.

Thx for input guys

im likely to go 2 routes

1. Hole saw the bottom of current holders out, use pvc pipe to deepen/extend and then fiberglass it all back together

2. Do a quasi centurion hack. Basically cut a nice piece of maple/oak to same shape and mount to top of that current indent. It would add depth, and be easiest

can even cover in grey vinyl to keep color scheme

Ive been looking into either making or buying something for a cup holder (love to drink coffee while driving) I found this on Ebay 1999-2004 FORD F250 F350 F450 CENTER DASH CUPHOLDER GRAY OEM SEE PHOTO | eBay

I don't know the mounting dementions but im thinking it might fit where the ash tray goes
If any one has a 99-2001 f 250 maybe you could post the dementions for us

I did something very similar in my wife's old Honda Passport.
A leftover piece of 3" stainless trimmed from my Magnaflow tailpipe and some 1 x 1/8 strap fit into the recess of the console.
Drilled two holes where the mounting bolts held down the surround for the parking brake.

Worked great for that same DD cup Tylus has. pictured in the first post.

Nice outside finally, so I fabbed this up real quick. Made a cardboard template, cut 1x8 to shape, then used some grey stain from one of my wife's projects. Not too shabby

Went from 2" of depth to 3". Seems to work great, will see what the big bounces do

Good job! I have a cup holder, the one that hangs from the door over the front of the console with some velcro to hold it in place for now. I like your idea.

At some point I'll get a proper hole saw and pretty it up with nicer wood

But for now it works. Need to get my suspension dialed in, and rust repaired before I spent a lot of time in the cab
