Also, I recommend Linex over the Ford liner. The Ford liner isn't prepped properly, and therefore, an inferior product, assuming the Linex is installed correctly
I think that statement is a bit of a stretch. If you look at the thread discussing it, the consensus wasn't that it's inferior or not prepped correctly. It does appear to be thinner than what you might get from Line-x for a similar price. The biggest thing I've heard is Line-x gives a lifetime warranty, where the factory one is only covered by your factory warranty period. If you watched the video of them removing the factory liner, you might have noticed that they used hammers and chisels to break the edges loose.
I would suggest you go with an F350 and a 4.30 rear axle. Unless the plates and registration in your state are considerably higher I always tell people to skip the 3/4 ton truck. The difference in ride and price are negligible but it seems eventually you always run out of capacity with the 3/4 ton truck. It's better to have too much and not need it then to need it and not have it. This configuration should give somewhere around 4000 lbs of payload and 16,000 lbs towing capacity. And the funny thing about campers is somehow they always get bigger. It's magic I think.
I agree the led lights are expensive I didn't think I would notice them
After driving the truck with them you will never want to go back
If financing over 4yrs it's an extra $16 dollars every 2 weeks that's one way of looking at it
Check the registration fees and rules for trucks of different GVWR in your province/state. In Ontario the cost difference for plates and inspections between a F-250 and a F-350 used for personal use is not too bad. Depending on how long you plan to own your truck you may find the extra resale for a F-350 offsets the extra cost over a F-250. Some areas keeping your truck to 4,500kg makes a big difference.

I agree with going with the 350 in a diesel but wouldn't a gas engine give a good payload capacity in a 250 as well. I know in Ontario you do pay more to register every year not sure about British Columbia
I opted for the LED and BLIS for my F-350 that was delivered on Wednesday. The lights on my F-150 were so bad I tried to avoid driving at night. I would give them serious consideration. And adpative steering.

Why do you think it's a stretch? It may be technically unfounded, but based on the evidence available, I'd venture to say Linex is better. They had to use an air hammer to take the Linex off. They only had to use hand tools to take the Ford liner off. You are correct about the apparent thickness, and there is no question that Linex offers a better warranty. Honestly, only time would tell, or a truly scientific test to see how much impact each could handle before denting or tearing.
Since they aren't very different in price, I'd choose Linex every day. There isn't as single category the factory Ford liner wins in, except maybe convenience, but there were delays in shipment due to how many trucks were backed up waiting for spray in liners.

I won't argue with you're theory. Honestly I never gave the difference between the two much thought. All I know is I have a 2011 dually with a factory spray on liner and it looks just as good now as it did new, for the most part. I throw firewood in the bed, gravel or whatever and I never gave it a second thought. I ordered it on my 17. Is the linex better? Could be. But the Ford product held up for me personally.

I'm not saying the Ford one is bad. I'm saying that for basically the same money, I'm going to pick the Linex, for the reasons I mentioned. It could be the same quality, or better, even! Who knows.
I look at it like buying the truck. You picked a Ford. You could have picked a Ram or Chevy. They would have been fine for you. But you chose Ford. Same type of principle, for me, anyways.
It's no biggie. I'm happy that people are doing something other than the horrible drop in liners!

Yes with the lighter gas engine it's not as critical but the F350 adds 1500 lbs of payload so my attitude is why not? There's really no downside.

I don't disagree with you, just saying you gave it way more thought and research than I did. Mines already ordered. I did look into it casually but the nearest linex dealer is 25 miles away and I just took the lazy way out. Plus this way is included in my loan so I have extra cash for other mods!

Yeah! How's it coming along? They gave me my VIN, build week of the 20th of Feb, and ETA of 3/13/17.
