Was showing a buddy what the 6.7's could do modded because he's interested in buying one. Was doing about 120 for about 3 minutes straight and I lost power in my accelerator. Was thinking well ****. I start putting pressure on the breaks and put the hazards on and made my way over to the shoulder and about the time I got there I lost power steering and my battery light came on. I stopped the truck, turned it off and turned it back on and it worked fine. It's happened to me one more time. Anyone know the cause of this? I have a SCT X4, flo pro 4" exhaust and S&B cold air intake. Just bought a No Limit EGR delete kit and looking to install it once it gets here, and looking to buy a FASS fuel separator or fuel pump.
X2 ... Also If you value your friends life as well as yours I wouldn't make a habit of going that fast seeing that the tires are probably only rated for 106 mph.. Also have you seen what the cabs of these trucks do when you roll them? Not trying to be the speed police, just making an observation....

Hey man, thanks for the concern. We're not making a habit of it, hell its the first time I got the truck above 110. We just wanted to see what it could do. Going that fast was too fast for me. Thanks again for the concern though! I understand you're just trying to help keep me and others safe
You drained the fuel rails during WOT. It happens. No harm, no foul. I wouldn't make a habit of it though.
What is the best way to prevent this other than going not going as fast? We have a straight race track that we go to a lot and I'd love to get the ford in there

for ****s and giggles, I’ll answer how fast a 6.7 Powerstroke will go.. I have a 2015 F-250 platinum CC SWB 4wd, I run Michelin 275/60r20 LTX A/T2
I have a ranchhand front bumper. Mods are CP4 disaster prevention kit, Fass 240 GPH, 5 inch straight exhaust, SCT x4 with switch (5 levels) EGR, DPF, DEF delete. On GPS truck runs out of pedal at 153 MPH.. was coming out of Wyoming headed back to Oklahoma, it was around 50 degrees just south of Casper.

When I was a shop foreman years ago in Fort Worth for the MB store I was test driving a car and went past a female mechanic we had employed getting her backside chewed out by a state patrol. A half hour later I was test driving another vehicle and he was still chewing her out. I asked when she finally made it back to the shop what the problem was. She said he was pretty upset when she went past him at 155 on I-30 heading towards Abilene as the speed limiter in the fuel pump relay had kicked in keeping her speed down. She marveled at how long it took to slow down from that speed!! I told her she was lucky not to be telling me that story from a jail cell. I think she had to sit on a pillow for awhileLuckily you weren't clocked going that fast for sure!!
