In Texas, Ford just announced another $1000 trade assist rebate. But looks like only on XL and XLT super duty. Ford.com shows $1000 cash, + $750 owner loyalty, + $1000 trade assist on 2017 SD.
Took delivery of my 2017 F350 7.6L Lariat in late December 2016, paid well below dealer invoice. Ford increased the MSPR on the exact equipped truck in early January 2017 by $750.00. Not unusual but it diminishes the so called rebates.
Got a F-350 Platinum Ultimate on order in that same color. Made a deal for $1000 below invoice (not including rebates and incentives). After negotiating with 6 different dealers, I guess it was a good deal. Thoughts??

That's what I negotiated. For your area, after checking with 6 dealers you should feel good about the deal. After all, how much time, fuel and energy more can you spend on it just to save a little more, maybe???

Yes, IMHO that's a good deal. Got dealer to $500 below invoice and then add $500 in owner advantage money. Witch is dealer money and not a ford payout .
Here's a recently announced incentive that includes our neck-o'-the-woods in western NC. We ordered our new F350 XLT on Jan. 30; I hope it arrives before this offer ends on April 3!
If you get your private cash offer after you order your truck make sure you dealer doesn't try to pull one over on you when the truck comes in.
The private offer will show up on whatever it is the dealer can see.
My dealer raised the cost of my truck and then deducted my $750 private offer, leaving a net of what I signed the contract for.
The finance goon literally scratched out my deal price and wrote in the higher price.
That's absurd! Situations like that are what makes me concerned about dealers. Some border on crooks, while others are pretty honest but you don't really know till the end. I'm not really sure how to get around this?
I just got back from dealer doing my paperwork, I get to pick up truck tomorrow. I got a total of 2750.00 in rebates. The 1k rebate, plus 1k trade in allowance, and 750 private offer. The thing that kinda stinks is they said the 750 private offer wont work with the 500.00 commercial upfit allowance I was going to use for a spray in bedliner. Does that sound right Frantz?

I don't understand this for two reasons:
1. When you order your truck, the price should be locked in. It can get no higher, even if Ford increases their prices before you truck arrives. Within just a couple of days of placing the order, your dealers receives a DORA which outlines the price the dealer is paying Ford for the truck. That will not change.
2. The $750 private offer comes out of Ford's pocket, not the dealer's. It they are raising the price, then they are simply trying to take your $750 offer and put it in THEIR pocket.
If this happens to me when I take delivery, I will have the GM in the office and Ford Customer Support on the phone.
