Looks good! I was looking at the ones by recon but instead of using them in the fender wells putting them underneath and an angle to light up towards the outside and act as perimeter lighting .
These appear to be a lot less expensive then the recon units do you know where the company is located I couldn't find it based on the link ?
I believe they are in Florida. Owner's build thread, not updated recently.
So took her up to Big Bear Mountain to Break her in. Big surprise this morning back at work. Thought I smelled a little bit of oil burning so I decided to pop the hood and look around the car could not find anything until I looked underneath the front of the vehicle and here is what I found
Now I know that has nothing to do with the oil smell but it definitely was another problem sadly don't know what would have happened but yesterday we came down pretty aggressive from big bear mountain and I shutter to think if it would've fallen off at high speed coming down the Mountain . On the plus side after talking to the dealer where I bought it all the suspension is covered for five years 50,000 miles including loose nuts or bolts with a warranty at four wheel parts so tomorrow that's where she goes
Hmmm might want to check the torque on everything now.
Yup!! Dropped it at 4 wheel parts this morning! They sad the entire rear area was loose!! The rear end, leaf springs, etc. Front end wasn't too bad but that is because I found out on of the guys who I worked with when he was under the truck re tightened some of the other loos bolts there!
It isn't uncommon for ubolts on leafs to need retorqued after a few hundred miles. I had to retorque mine 3 times after my spring swap. Seems they should inform customers of these modified vehicles
I had a Pro Comp kit on my other excursion and they did tell me an interval of how often I should check it and I did it at least once a year usually they didn't find any issues however last month I did end up replacing the rear leaves on it finally a few months ago.
I was a little surprised though when they did say the whole rear end was on this one. There or if you fit and finish issues with this but I'm trying to work through with the dealership right now some functionality of my last excursion has been lost in this one
So went and picked up an ARB FRIDGE, 2" too wide to be a rear console. People who built the truck told me it would fit!
So back to looking for a console!
