Delete that looks stock?

Has anyone seen this? In my state, the inspection is every 2years but it is just visual. I’d be interested in a delete if I could pass itoff as stock. Seems like the “guts” could be removed and just straight pipe throughwithout anyone being the wiser.

I haven't seen it myself, but heard of it being done. I'd say it's similar to hollowing out the honey comb of a cat. It's an expensive piece though to ruin, especially if you ever go from visual to testing in your state.

If it's visual every 2 years, I'd just take it out and put it back in. About a 2 hour job.

I've actually seen someone hollow one out. Thought about doing it myself once upon a time. Totally doable. However, if they are savey, they can tell by seeing the soot at the tip of the exhaust.

Soot on the exhaust is like a smoking gun in a murder mystery.

A deleted truck has significant soot on the tip of the exhaust (compared to a non-deleted truck), even if you aren't rolling coal. Like I said, a savy tech would look harder and/or put you in for more testing. Taking the chance it up to the OP. Personally, I would delete and try it, but I was just giving my opinion on it.

I just ordered my delete setup, but I don't have to deal with emissions testing or inspections.

Forget about the soot at the tip of the exhaust pipe, how about the cloud of black smoke when you accelerate...
