2 stage or 3 stage?

2 stage or 3 stage?
I am interesting in purchasing a Diablo Delta chip for my '03 S'Crew F150 (5.4L) I'm new to chipping a vehicle. Whats the difference between a stage 2 and a 3 stage chip? One more stupid question for ya, where do you find the computers at on my truck?

1. 2 stage has stock + 1 program
2. 3 stage has stock + 2 programs
Programs available are the same regardless, its just a matter of if you want more than one (say, for instance, a nitrous oxide program in addition to a standard performance tune).
