So I wonder if Ford will end up coming up with a contoured base that makes them sit flush? I doubt it unless a ton of folks start complaining about it.
Perfect, just wanted to make sure they hadn't done away with the break-away/emergency fold feature... $1000 worth of mirror sticking out that was ruined if it got bumped would have been silly......
As far as I can tell, the only way anyone could have flush fitting lights with the pano-roof is if they have a totally different black base than I do. Like not physically possible for them to fit "right".
Andy....how do you feel about those pics? Did you think "that's the way they are supposed to be" when you got your truck ?? Just curious if a lot of them are like that. Based on how roof lights should fit...and one's I've seen in the past on all brands...that sure looks pretty sloppy to me. Thanks for snapping the pics.
If position is the same then the question is, has anyone got the lights reset properly from Ford? AND, does a gap there cause any sort of leak, or is the horizontal pressure enough?
Here is a pretty similar POV of a truck with and without the sunroof for comparison to judge a difference in where they sit.
Position looks identical to me.
Well if that's the case....what roof is in this picture???? According to davel's post above....it is this: SRW, FX4, CC, SB. Is there a roof difference between dually/crew cab/extra cab....maybe so. There is definitely a difference in the placement based on the pictures posted above in this post.
YUK, I'm not happy to see that. Tyler, you have the roof and don't have this issue right?
Now you guys are making me second-guess myself. But like I said earlier, it is really snowing hard right now. I will check and try to snap pics later after I get home from work.
Based on all the pictures, it appears that there is an internal foam looking seal, not just the "flat" black perimeter seal that is obviously not touching?
