Manual transmission
Alright so I need some assistance, I am planning to change out the fluid in my transmission and I've read that either ATF or gear oil go into it I'm not really sure now I called ford and the guy didn't really seem to care just kinda rushe'd me off the phone, I have a 99 f150 4.6L 5 speed help me out please

ATF. Any universal, Dex/Merc, standard ATF will work. Gear oil will actually wear the transmission faster and will cause problems shifting.
