Anyone care to guess what my payload will be? Or maybe you already have my truck with similar equipment. I ordered an F350 CC LB SRW, 6.7, 3.55 with 20 inch wheels, Lariat Value Pkg, nav, chrome, 5th wheel prep, tailgate step, spray in liner, FX4, no sunroof. I'm gonna guess 33-3400. But you won't hurt my feelings if you say more.
My fully loaded F-350 PlatU 6.7 CCSB SRW Snow plow prep and 5th wheel prep got 3277lbs. The long bed will give you probably +100lbs over mine (theoretically axles can handle the same), and i would guess that less the sunroof would get you close to another +100lbs.

My guess: 3497lbs!
I would be very happy if you were right but correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't a long bed weigh more, resulting in a lower payload?

Your exactly right about it weighing more.... But what has to be taken into account is that payload seems to be calculated by Ford as an equally distributed weight over a given area. Therefore the larger area in the LB can handle more weight. This was the only logical conclusion i could come up with when looking at the numbers on the Ford fleet towing guides. Same axle and setup, long beds always ended up with a higher payload "rating" <--- theoretically. For me i was only worried about my heavy pin weight of my 5vr, so i choose SB since i know it is less weight onto the drive axles. Weight police may freak out with me saying that, but I trust the axle rating way more than the payload calc's.
I have essentially the same truck. My payload is just under 3400#
Thanks mikerosane. So does anyone know if that is with a full tank of fuel? And does it assume an empty cab or allow for a driver? This is my third SD and I've heard both ways. I'm trading in a dually so I never really cared before.
Your unloaded vehicle weight includes a full tank of fuel, full oil, full radiator, etc.
I have seen definitions that include like 155 lbs for the driver. Not many of us weigh that little.
Passengers, tool box, fifth wheel hitch, etc, all come out of your payload.
FWIW, Ive been told that the AT tires vs the AS tires have a higher weight rating and help payload.
Yeah I really wish Ford would up the GVWR on the SRW to 12,000. Ram is at 12300 with the Aisin trans. But that's my only complaint so far. Love all the new improvements including the 48 gallon fuel tank.

Hello,
Your truck and my truck are equipped nearly the same. I do not have nav or chrome on mine. Payload is 3,159. I was hoping for a little more too, but it is what it is.

Ford's 2017 Sd Orger Guide Supplement says the max GVWR for your configuration is 3,680 lbs. I presume this is for the XL trim with no/few options, so you'll need to take a whack at guestimating the weight of your various options.
