Things have changed! I was looking through some old papers today and found the liability policy my Dad bought when he purchased a new '58 Chevy Sport Coupe. The cost for the 6 month period was $17.70.

Things have changed. I remember when there was such a thing as a Liberal Republican (Nelson Rockefeller, Jacob Javits) and a Conservative Democrat (William Proxmire)!
man, that $17.70 sounds nice for insurance..thats about what i pay to fill up my tank each time, especially when im paying 800 bucks every 6 months for insurance.
Well lets see. I pay $1500 a year to drive my parents 4 vehicles, then I pay $400 on my truck. I get by so cheap on my truck because its in my dads name. If it was in my name - I would pay $2500 a year for it! This is because I have good coverage...
colossus, I hope that the $2500 ain't for that 79 truck. I paid $15 a month for my truck as a second vehicle. My car is $80 a month but I'm 18 and now have 2 speeding tickets and a reckless driving ticket. I have also got 2 seatbelts and 2 warnings on defective mufflers.
The 2500 would be for the 79 truck - but currently - I don't actually pay that. They look at - 2 door - 10,000GVW - Title says Commercial vehicle (its questionable) - I also have 100-500-35 insurance. I also got a wreckless driving ticket as well...
Much better then the 530$/month for my acura (before I sold that jap scrap)
Had no tickets when I had the acura insured, have 3 minor speeding tickets with the truck insurance. *It wasn't any cheaper before I got the tickets I'll asure you, if I get a 4th one (which I doubt I will since I drive like an "old man" in <--no offence million) my insurance will be alot higher.
