Renewal papers came in the mail this morning.

It's $24.00 LESS than Last year

Hmmmm, I just lost my Good Student discount and my insurance almost doubled. I was paying about $350/6 months, and now I'd be at $578/6 months. That's on a 88 F-150, 1 speeding ticket, just liability, 25/50. And I've got multiple car, auto/home, and Y.E.S. for discounts. Dang it anyway. I guess when i turn 20 (next July) it will go down, and my ticket drops off in December which is supposed to help alot too, but I've been beating my head off the wall since I saw it went up. Called the insurance people yesterday and the day before. Our agent is a friend of my husbands family so they all just "assume" he isn't taking us for a ride....but I'm not so sure. That still just doesn't seem right to me though.......can't find a single thing other than losing that discount that has changed....

For me in my 79 and Liability only and under my moms name it's $379.81/6 months.
No tickets, no claims
Just started driving a few months ago, and I'm 17.

I got a quote yesterday from Farm Bureau (We're with Farmers right now) and they can get me back down to where I was before losing my discount, that's without having our home owners there too. Our home owners would go up with Farmers about $50/year but we'd be saving from $500-600/year on our trucks.

Really doesn't hurt to check around now and then.

I saw on the news the other day that EVERYONES insurance was $200 higher this year alone because of auto theft.
Think about that $200 for everyone????
Thats insane. Why should I pay that much money more to compensate for this crime? I'm sick of it and I plan on changing my plan to liability only.
The authorities could stop this by simply passing a law that says anyone found guilty of this would have their right hand cut off.
There's just no justice anymore for doing wrong.

Full Coverage on 1990 Z-71.... 100 a month
Liability on 1966 F-100..... 35 a month
Liabilty on 1991 Ford Tempo.... 35 a month
