Does anyone have some info on wiring up some Day Lights Running Lights on a 2016 F250 with diesel engine? Thinking of adding LED lights to front of vehicle for day time use.
My truck is going to the dealer in a couple days to have the self installed Ford remote start module activated. I'm thinking I just might have them activate DRL while it's hooked to their IDS.

Also, have them turn on the Exhaust Filter screen also. Check the 6.7L forum for a thread titled Ghost Screen.
Ofcause Ford service will charge you to hook up their computer and to make changes, do you know what the cost is?
I've heard everything here from the dealer did it for free because it was a learning experience for them to $250. I'll find out tomorrow what my selling dealer is going to do.
It'll be interesting. They said they couldn't get me the PIN number for the SIM card that came with my module, which I needed to set up the iPhone app for starting the truck. A call to a dealer many states away where I got the module (ebay sale) not only looked it up for me, they remotely tested the functions that operate without IDS activation (lock, unlock, locate). I'm near the Canada border in NY and they're in Louisiana.
Got my new self installed Ford remote start module activated and daytime running lights turned on today. My selling dealer normally charges $50 to hook it up to IDS. They charged me $40.
Seeing how there was 5200 miles on it they asked if I'd like the first service (oil change and tire rotation/pressure check) done. It's their "new car program" and it was free.
From here on out oil change/tire rotation is still going to be a shade under $50. This is with synthetic blend, not full synthetic. For no name synthetic I was paying a local fast lube type place $66 with tax. And that did not include a tire rotation.
The FORScan thread actually applies to both 6.7 and 6.2 There are parameters in the various modules such as the BCM, IPC, EBA, AIPM, etc used on all trucks. There are probably some changes more specific to gas or diesel but most can be applied to either. I.E., DRL, fast blink when using led tail lights or giving lamp outage with LED's, remote start, duration of remote start, eetc.

The PIN for the sim on remote access (cellular remote start) does not require the IDS to be hooked to the truck. It goes through the Profession Technician Society (PTS) site to test and create the PIN based on the IEN of the remote access module (basically it is a cell phone). They are contacting the remote access module to test if via cell service not the IDS.
The IDS or FORScan is needed to "turn on" remote start in the truck boy control module (BEM).

Thanks for all the advice along the way Larry. I made sure to follow your instructions to get the alarm to arm and make sure it was working properly right after I installed it.
The tech today said it was one of the first self installed that didn't set code when he went in to activate it. I had them back it outside (it was inside their steel building shop) to test the cell phone starting. It took right off immediately. Then they pulled it back in to do the rest of today's service.
hello, I'm here to ask for some help real quick. this is the only way I've figured out how to post anything and I'm hoping someone can tell me how to post so i can ask my own questions and what not. please help SOS

Hi, check out our new arrival, led light bar with RGB CROSS-STYLE DRL, it'd definitely look cool in your F250.
