Contacted Melling about the M176 pump and they said " Our pump features a cast iron cover plate, and cast aluminum body, the OE cover plate is stamped steel. "

Great, that's the one I'd get then in your case. If I end up doing a timing job, I'll be replacing the pump with a Melling high volume pump to ensure proper oil flow and pressure in the engine, as recommended by those who do these timing jobs pretty much on a daily basis.
