What is this part?

1966 F-100 6 cylinder. What is this part to the left of the starter solenoid and where can I buy a replacement?

Wiring diagram shows it as a junction block. I thought it was grounded. Don't know where to get one but should be able to fix.

That's correct. It should be heavily insulated from ground. If those wires ground out you can fry some of the wiring.

NPD sells a repro for a Shelby part number 14448-1A, $35

Ford superceded the part at least twice by 1973 - There are NOS junction blocks available with the newer part number

D3TZ-14448-A | RearCounter.com | 75 found at 5 sellers

I don't know of anyone reproducing the orignal style for our trucks, but this later one is the service replacement part.

Another alternative for the alternator gauge would be a fuse block as opposed to the junction block. Installed a 30 amp fuse block in the 65.

If you don't like the yellow replacement on here is a black one that ford used for the ammeter
