Ford's big wagons have a different frame geometry at the rear due to the full body vs pickup bed. If you bolt a SD hitch onto an EX the receiver hole will be pointing down towards the ground at about a 30 degree angle. Aftermarket hitch choices for the mighty EX are more limited than they are for their cousin SD trucks.
But that is a good deal for a truck owner that wants a very strong hitch upgrade over stock!
