'59 Steering wheel

Had a moment to look at my steering wheel today. I thought it was some sort of ceramic or plastic but close look appears to be some sort of rubber material. it is cracked in several places from shrinkage.
Any ideas on a product to fill the cracks in this rubber like material? It would have to be fairly thin to squeeze it in.

I finally replaced mine with one of the new repop ones ( actually the wife got me one for Xmas a few years ago ). I use to repair them but it's a lot of work and I'm getting lazy. Back in the day I use to get a material from a guy who repaired bowling *****, they used it to plug the holes when they needed redrilling. I'm sure they have other material available today..

Just saw on YouTube how to fix a cracked steering wheel with Por 15 epoxy putty. Haven't tried it myself. The putty is a little pricey. Hope this helped.
