4R100HD Identification
I have a e99 F250 4x4, whilst under the truck the other day i noticed something that i had not before, a Ford reman tag on my tranny. It has 245k on it, so its no surprise to me that its not the original. Ive only owned the truck for a couple of months and due to the weather i haven't exactly had the opportunity to go underneath and check out everything like i normally would. Anyhow, is there a way for me to identify what trans it in it? I know the non Hd's are factory, and that the HD's are their replacement, but how do i know if mine was replaced with an HD unit or just a non HD? There are three codes on the tag along with barcodes. Codes being: 6124-8 ; R2447747 ; F81Z7V000LBRM . Any info you guys may offer would really be appreciated.
