need help please

Can someone tell me how I can find out what commponents I have on my truck.
Such as:
tranny
transfer case
differentials

I need to know exactly what I got so I can replace some seals and gaskets, and such.
Where do I look for numbers, etc. and what will they tell me?

What are the specifics on your vehicle? i.e. year, model, etc.

there is a tag on each component that tells what it is, and a tag on the door jamb that gives codes that you have to translate to find out what you have. codes are in manuals, or get back to this with codes and someone will help.

There is a Mylar UPC tag on the side of your tranny, which has some numbers on it. Write those down if you go to buy any seals from Ford.

I wanted to replace a tailshaft seal and had to have that number 'cause they used something like 23 different P/N in '91, which is exactly the same tranny your '89 uses.
