front suspension help

I just replaced my inner axle seals on my F100 4x4 (front dana 44). To give me more room to remove the center section I removed the track bar from the right side (passenger) and positionedit up out of the way. Now trying to reassemble things I find that the bar is about 1/2 inch short of reaching the large bolt to reattach. Needless to say it's a large bar and I don't know the procedure to get it back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this job has been a nightmare for me from the start. Thanks

ratchet strap from frame to axle and pull it back into place, the axle just slighty shifted one way with the trac bar disconnected. Shouldn't take much effort to pull it back

So I just went back out and crawled underneath to get the idea of what your suggesting. I attach the rachet strap to the drivers's side frame and back to the passenger side of the axle, probably behind the rotor area and draw it over to where I can attach it? I need to move it about 1/2 inch towards the driver's side. Thanks for helping me out!

Wrap it around the frame and necktie it to the passenger side steering arm.

Fire the truck up and use the steering to push/pull the track bar into position.

Thanks for all the help. I used a rachet strap as suggested, it popped in all by itself! I would have been tearing things down further without your suggestions. Thanks again, it's all back together with new inner axle seals, U-joints, bearings, and one new hub.

I learned this trick myself a couple weeks ago when installing my lift.
