I really want the floor mats to look clean and fitted. Ever seen any made to fit one's like WeatherGuard makes for newer trucks?

No.

The passenger side floor pan is wider than any universal deal I have ever seen.

My buddy had an interior shop make a custom set for his truck.

A set of Huskey Liners that fit a 99 dodge work nice. At least I remember trying the ones I got for my 99 Dodge and saying I need to get another set for the 79 Ford....

That was evidently a LONG time ago, because I remembered way wrong. lol They are still to narrow. Take an old bed mat and cut you some.

Yes.

I ordered a set from Auto Carpet for Car, Truck, Van - Stock Interiors for my wifes 78 F150. They are cut and fit like the factory matts but they are expensive. Mine were $105 with shipping but that was with the custom pink Ford logo embroidered in the middle (extra $40 I think). Only Place I have found that has them.

Because I just reminded myself when I took the Husky liner out of my Dodge to ck fit it in my silver 77.

Do I need to go take measurements?

That is excellent!

Can you post some pics? Especially the passenger side.

I will scoop up a set of these if they fit well.

I put their carpet in my 78 F150. And wouldn't hesitate to use their carpet in my other trucks. But I can't bring myself to spend $65 for floor mats that are the same as the carpet underneath it-there's no heel pad and they're just as susceptible to dirt/mud and other crap as the carpet. Granted, you can take them out and beat them, but I'll stick with deep-groove plastic till I find something that's really better.

I brought this up with a friend who works with a 3d printer and he wants to see if we can make a set based off of my truck. During our discussion we did consider that the printer would make a hard style mat and may not hold up to cold and abuse, but we want to give it a shot. I will be happy to keep anyone updated how it goes if people are interested.

I've always been a rubber floor guy so I can simply hose out the interior but The floor pan rust in these trucks is kind of scary.

Thanks for posting the pictures heliguy.

So long as I can match the red carpet in my truck I will get a set with the Ford Script.

You can't get custom ones for that much money and everything else on teh market is too narrow on the pass side that I have seen.
