Just an update for those who are interested in a stow away hitch -- after talking to folks at Weigh Safe and exchanging really nice emails from the CEO, they will be changing their information to set expectations on the 3 inch not being stowable. In addition, he has asked his engineering team to revisit the design to explore a resolution and will keep me posted and I will pass it on to this forum. He did not commit to providing a solution, but he also gave impression that he would trade out the 3 inch drawbar if they are able to retrofit the stowaway design.
Sounds like there may be a glimmer of hope... I had come across a 2 1/2" shank 180 setup that has higher load ratings than the Weigh Safe 2 1/2s, but not quite that of the 3" Weigh Safe 180s....

That's a GREAT response from the company...IMHO!! At the very least they are going to make the correction with the product that it is not stowable.
Maybe he hasn't been "Layd" since way "Back" when.
Amazing how some people get all pi$$y over a simple little forum post. Geez!

It's all GOOD...Just finished the sale of my 2012 KR dually for basically $8k less than I paid for it new, it sold too fast while waiting on my new order. So, as of just under 2 hours ago, I'm a MAN without a TRUCK...about to head to the RV show, and try not to DROWN in my sorrows 😂😂😂

Ha! Just sold my 2008 Lariat as well. The guy is willing to wait until my new one comes in (just ordered this week), but we've got another vehicle to drive so I think I'm going to sell it now and have the money in hand and ready.
Where is the RV show? I was wanting to hit the big one in StL this year, but just buying a truck, there's no money for an RV so I better keep the wifey away!

At America's Center....Mine sold to an out of town dealer in 2 days on Craigslist...Got paid on 1/17, and they just showed up to get it today....
You guys selling outright doing that well vs. trade? Every time I try that, the sales tax credit evens it out and it's not worth the effort. Perhaps it's worth trying again though if others are having luck pulling good numbers this way.

I was able to get $2500 more by selling outright. Here in MO, you can take that sales value off the cost of a new one when paying sales tax. So, if new one is 70k and you sell the old one for 25k, you only pay sales tax on 45k, not the full 70k. There has to be less than 6 months in time difference between the two transactions though.
The 2500 covers 1/3 the cost of the 2010 Milan we just bought from my parents to drive while I wait for my new one. It will be the car my daughter learns to drive on next year, so it worked out pretty well for us.
