I have heard that some 4.9l have air in the manifold instead of the head. Is this true and what years have this? I assume they use the split manifolds but are tapped for a port is that correct? Which manifold is this front or rear? Would be nice to get rid of the head injection manifold woes.
Hi BWD, sorry no one's getting back to you on this.
Air in the manifold is something that *might* exist, but I've never seen or heard of it. I know it switched from speed density to MAF in '96, but I don't know if that was only a computer thing, or if there were external changes to the engine.
