I'm going to replace all four rotors this coming weekend. I'm looking at Motorcraft rotors, and there are multiple part numbers that come up as fitting my vehicle. I have an '04 EX with 6.0L in 4x4.
For the front disks I find: 1V125(BRR-89) or 1125(BRRF-103)
For the rear I find: 1V125(BRR-94) or 2C026(BRRF-102)
Do both of these fit? if so are the (102-103) better than the (89-94) disks? Everywhere I've found these there is about a $40 difference between them.
Also, I'm wanting to replace the brake hoses, any suggestions?
Motorcraft rotors though? This is one area that I actually suggest going aftermarket. There are better and cheaper options out there. Napa ultra premium rotors are very good and available anywhere. Have you actually priced the Motorcraft rotors? Watch out for that sticker shock.
Definitely and absolutely replace the brake hoses with the stainless lines from Russell. Search this forum for the part number.
Are you replacing just the rotors and not the pads?
I used OEM front and rear rotors, with EBC yellowstuff pads and stainless brake hoses all around (5 piece set). Complete brake fluid change is also key.
Always appreciate it when you pop in over here and say Hi, Tony. Even in the non-mirror threads, LOL!

Thanks I'm like a gerbil in a wheel sometimes over here...lol I just did a brake job on my 04 Grand Cherokee with these NAKAMOTO brakes that we carry, they're awesome.
There are a lot of not so good brake rotors on the market, but I love these.
I had a set of the EBC yellow stuff pads on mine and I would not recommend them. One, they create an absolute ton of brake dust. Two, they wore down very quickly. I got 20,000 miles out of the front. Three, they also chew through the rotor very quickly. I put new rotors on to go with the pads, and the rotors are trash now too.
They did stop pretty good though, I'll give them that. But I will never put another set on my truck again.

Yup, the Green Stuff pads have created more brake dust than the HAWK pads I previously had and, yup again, when I swapped my rotors Saturday (different thread), I was kinda surprised the pads didn't have more thickness to them (less than a year old).
I really like the Brakemotive drilled & slotted on Ebay, made a night and day difference in stopping, very reasonable as well, 4 rotors & ceramic pads for about $300.00. had them on for about 50k and they are wearing really well
I recently changed front rotors and pads on my '02 and '04 Excursions. Used Hawk Sector 27 (drilled and slotted) Rotors and Hawk LTS pads. The change went smooth and so far I've not had any issues with them. Stopping in the cold has been great. I haven't noticed any appreciable dust yet. Only about 4 months on them so far, but we drive a lot of miles. Right now the set of both is $220 on Amazon, but when I bought them, it was $185. The Hawk pads don't come with any of the hardware (springs, clips), so you might consider picking up a hardware set from O'Reilly or Napa unless you know your springs and clips are good.
I did Brakemotives as well and no regrets. I think them and powerstop are pretty comparable. Factory pads and rotors had plenty of life left and completely sucked.
