This is my brother in laws truck has been sitting for over 20 years. We were up in Illinois last week for a family get together and my nephew and I were walking around the property and I saw this and didn't think much of it until I saw the V-8 on the hood. This is an old county truck he even has the snow plows that hook up to it. I am going to try and post pictures off of the i-pad.

I am trying to buy the motor but this guy is a hoarder for sure and gets very testy when asked if he will sell something. I could not check if it turned over because the belt slipped and we had to go to a family function. On the last picture of the drivers side head it looks like it has 3 holes that are for mounting something. Who can tell me. The motor has been covered but I did not think to check the radiator and see what that looked like.

Looks like a well oiled engine. That pump setup might be of interest to the right person as well.
If the transmission is a synchro silent trans you might do better on that than the engine. Get them both if its the synchro trans.

I like the hydraulic pump driven off the generator. I'm thinking that's for the snow plow.

I'm glad you told us about that. I thought it was an air compressor.

Looks like it needs a battery and some gas and it would fire right up!
Good pictures! Thanks for posting.
