Electric brakes
We're moving back home (Southern Missouri) and talking about me making a few trips back home with a trailer load to put into storage, making the move easier.
I've been looking at different rental options and may need to ad an electric brake controller to my 2013 F150. The truck is a Super Crew, 4x4. 5.0, 3:55 gears, and has tow package, but I'm surprised that tow package didn't include a trailer brake.
So if you've added your own trailer brake, where, and what kind of price did you get? I want OEM so it will fit in that cubby hole where I set me 9mm now
And was it plug and play, or do I need to also pay a stealer or shop to activate it

Looking on ebay/amazon - they are running $100-200 depending on if they come with the relay and fuses needed. Mine came in a bag with the truck I believe so if you find that you could save some cash.
Couple resources:
Link to install guide: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l-09-f150.html
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPH0...ature=youtu.be
Looks like it does need to be activated.
Hope this helps

2011-2013 specifically:
Ford F-150 Trailer Brake Control Kit 2011-2013 (Part No: BL3Z-19H332-AA)
Call and ask for a guy by the name of Benny. He's the rep that sponsors another F150Forum and he can hook you up. He may even be able to activate it remotely.

Most rental trailers I have rented(Uhaul) have surge brakes so a trailer brake controller isn't required.

After getting some money back from the house that we sold in Blue Springs Mo, with the wife's ok, I struck a deal and bought him.
He barely ran, beautiful blue paint job, on really terrible body work, and new 31x10.50x15 tires, two different mufflers, and I think only 2 shock were on there too.
Over the next 6 years that we we're in Southern Mo, a lot of work went into that truck. Engine swap, we even had a group of Missouri FTE members show up for a cab swap party. Then a lot of body work, larger tires, exhaust, etc.
After my wife was made a fantastic offer for a new job, we sold everything that wasn't needed, including Ka'Bluey, to help pay for the move to North Carolina, where we live now.
Over the next 12 to 18 month's, Ka'Bluey went up on craigslist three more times. The couple that bought him this last time are great friends back home, and fellow Mo, FTE members. Alan and Tiff bought Ka'Bluey and let me know that they had him, and we're going to make repairs that were needed. They also let me know that he wasn't for sale, unless I wanted him back. And I sure did....so we made an agreement and bought Ka'Bluey back.
He's in my drive way right now, three years after selling him, and 1100 miles away, all because of two great friends back home, and a wife that let me buy the same truck twice.
And now we're making plans to go back home in the next few months. And Ka'Bluey is one of the first things going back. And the friends that we bought him from, are storing him for me until we get there.
The first picture, is right after we bought him. The the cab swap, and last is the day he was transported to me in NC.
