We spent a good portion of Father's day on the road back from OKC. We had a great weekend getting away from it all. Bricktown is a nice little place. It almost felt tropical there. (it was warm)
SO I cheated on my diabetic "diet" this weekend-- I had a small frosty and a half a glass of some alcoholic concoction that I do not know what all was in it. Doing fine today but was not feeling great on Sunday
I had a weak Jack Daniels and diet coke when we were at Pinnacles campground, the next driving day I felt slightly poopy until lunch. Didn't even catch a buzz and I still paid for it, sucks! That's why I really don't even bother drinking on trips anymore, can't risk having hangovers ruin my time away.
I seldom drink, but when I do, I generally have just a few beers and call it good. Much more than a few beers, and I get tired, and just want to go to sleep.
I have to hit it hard and fast to get a solid buzz, but then I have to back pedal with a gallon of water before I go to bed to fend off the nasty feelings the next morning. Pretty much not worth my efforts, lol!
