Windshield Camera Box

Before I wreck something, I want to mount my Escort radar detector to the bottom of this thing without a suction cup and run the power through it to a up-fitter switch. Anybody know how it comes apart?

I used a piece of industrial Velcro to mount radar and tucked the wire in the crack between plastic and the windshield. I did not have to take it off. I ran wire to the up fitter connection point under the hood. Works well

I never had luck with any tape here in S Florida, I want to find a way mount it. I'm sure the bottom would un-snap, of course I'd be the first one break a tab. It should be able come off in case glass replacement?

You could stop speeding and it would resolve the problem.

I will ask when I am at the dealership today bitching them out for selling me a lemon and not replacing the truck.

I have not looked at the new mirrors. Is there no longer a plug in the back of the mirror with all the wires you could tap into?

Hard to see from the picture and might be on the other side.

Sleepyguy,

We are all sympathetic to the problems you seem to be having with your truck. And I for one, hope it gets resolved for you soon. That being said, it seems that every time you post a comment on any thread, you have to include something about the "lemon" you have and the disgust you have towards your dealer and Ford. Ok...we get it, but enough already. I suggest you start your own thread titled "Sleepyguy's Lemon" and when you feel the need to vent to the forum world, you can post those comments in that thread. We'll give you a pat of the back and few words of encouragement to help you keep your chin up. Otherwise, please stop interjecting comments about your "lemon" in totally unrelated threads.

Thank you in advance for showing a little consideration to the rest of the forum.

No problem.
Ill try and get a pic of mine soon if youd like
I plan to wire the escort to aux switch 1 for on/off and mount the mute box just above the start button.

My Valentine 1 is mounted to the drivers side of the camera box and near the top of the windshield, works great, out of my line of sight if it sat below the camera box...
