Hey Everybody, i am hoping somebody here will be able to answer a few things for me.
I have a 2005 2v v10 out of an excursion that i am planning on putting in a classic ford.
I have the engine wiring harness, but not the computer or the fuse boxes or other wiring. i plan on running a manual transmission so that means i will need at least the computer from a manual f250/350
so my questions are
1. Are the wiring harnesses different between any of the years between 99-04?
2. Are there any differences between the actual engines themselves, like sensor placement, extra or missing sensors.(not internal engine parts)
3. I have read a little bit, and some people mention immobilizers, do all years between 99-04 come with an immobilizer?
I will ad more when I can think of them lol
thanks in advance.
I believe that all Excursions had PATS "chip keys" if that is what you mean by immobilizer. None of the 2V V10 trucks did.
If I were you I would be looking for 2V truck harness parts either from a manual transmission truck or contact someone like 5Star to see if you can get the auto trans part written out of the tune.

PATS yes that what I was thinking of.
It's good to know the trucks don't have that, as I did plan on getting a truck harness.
I know it can be done. A few years back I talked with a guy at a car show. He built an F4 ramp truck for his Model A Roadster Hot Rod that had a 2V V-10.
