05-07 was detuned, the 03-04 have bigger turbos. The truck will learn your habits and keep those in the KAM. Why after loading a tune you get the P0603 code or after disconnecting batteries. I would believe it hit 32lbs.

9 cars and 25k miles??
And you for-sure were one of the ones, Randy, that I figured I'd be gettin' some trash from

Rich? Like if I sold all the cars?!

Actually, I maybe should get into some 12 step program because I am DOWN to 9 And then there's the stuff that isn't street legal...

Part of the reason for the low truck miles is we had gotten lazy about putting the slide-in camper on and leaving it on all summer, then it became spring through fall and then it became all year, so it sat in my shop; then got a motor home and the camper came off and hasn't gone back on, so I got my truck back

so: yeah, retired, own everything, born poor so made it all myself (and with Wife) and we worked really, really hard and started planning and saving and doing things (like frugal stuff that never goes away when you don't come from money) starting when I mowed lawns as a kid: you want it? you earn the money to pay for it -- for me and my older sister anyway... But all 9 are currently registered, insured and run...

ok the newly appointed posting police will be along any time now, so back on topic: Since boost is something that is related to power, do you know Randy what they did to the '05 - '07s to reduce their power? As in, maybe I ain't never gonna' see 28? The truck runs great, can hear the turbo smoothly change tone so the VG is working. Is this something I could force a vane sweep with ForScan and tell if it has full movement? It hasn't been that many miles since the turbo was bench cleaned (4k), but it has been several years, mostly parked inside, but I do exercise it when I drive it and it has seen some hard work...

It's like you expected it and I would not be the one to let you down.

Mowing lawns at age 7... still mowing at 53! I'm glad for you. We deserve everything we work for and then some.

The 05-07 turbos lost 2mm and I'm sure some tuning as well, why they don't perform like the early versions... all in the name of emissions and mileage. Just like heated FICM flashes and compensating tuning, longevity and warranty claims add to the bottom line!

What would this place be without some crap now and then

Frankly, just no dang fun at all

Thanks for the info. Every time it went to a dealer I requested No Flashes, so I hope I don't have an inductive heat or some other buzz on shutdown BS they were fooling with on the injector side. Would love for somebody to be able to pull my ECM Strategy and my FICM too and put ones in that were better, or better matched while not bringing my Smog man down on my butt.

Keep up the good work my friend
