Low fuel pressure??

Well as the title says my 2013 F550 is telling me I have low fuel pressure on the display. I change the fuel filters regularly and just changed them last oil change around 2500km ago. It definitely has less power than normal right now. Anyways I picked up some new filters (Baldwin) and plan on changing them out tomorrow. Has anybody seen this before? Did I just get a case of bad fuel? I fill up at the same pump since new with no previous problem. Or do have a bigger problem like the fuel pump starting to go? Any help on this would be appreciated. BTW the truck has around 140 000km on it now. Thanks

Filters are a good place to start. An issue with the low pressure pump of pump suction could also lead to your condition. Do you hear any odd noises from under the truck?

No funny noise that I can remember. Do they have the low pressure pumps in the tank? Are the 6.7l as fussy as the 6.0l with regards to fuel filter brands? I know the 6.0l like motorcraft filters. Although ive used Baldwins in it since around 20 000kms.

Well hopefully it's just the filters. Just can't figure out why they would plug so soon? As far as gelling goes it was only -10c today so I doubt it?? Never had a problem even at -37c.

low pressure pump is housed as part of the fuel water separator. Nothing in the tank.

Put new filters on and see what you get.

have you tried to drain the water and see what you get?

Ahh yes right where the primary fuel filter is. Ya I'll crack the drain in the morning before I leave for work and see what comes out. Then change the filters. Thanks for the help. I'll let you know how it goes.

New filters and so far so good. One thing to note was the big fuel truck was actually filling the tanks while I was filling up so maybe the stirred up some crap?? Though they should have a filter system on they're end too. Oh well seems ok now.

yeah, not good but maybe ok if a high volume station.

The fuel system is fragile and requires good filters and good fuel.
