High pressure fuel pump?Help!
I have a bad day today my great truck stopped and wont start anymore.
I will tell from the start:
I just realised that somebody took away the fuel filler cap from my trucks second tank and as it semms it was week ago...
And fuel filler is located in rear wheels well...so you understand that i was drivin all week and all debris, mud and water was gettin inside of the second tank...and i didn/t know it and pumped this sh... into the first tank. So we (me and guys from service) replaced both of fuel filters and found out that the old ones are dirty as hell. The fuel that left inside of first tank is like milk...we drained it and washed the tank. Now we are inspectin things... When i turn my ignition key the fuel is comin from the frame mounted fuel pump to the upper filter and is comin back to tank.
But when im tryin to start the engine, no effect. I think now that its the failure of high pressure fuel pump...
But guys i live in Europe and its not possible to get truck back to USA for service and then transport it again here... And we dont have qualified service for my 2008 truck here... Of course i can now order new one high pressure fuel pump for USA and do the replacement. But the price is high for it and guys i would like to be 100% sure that it is failure of high pressure fuel pump... PLEASE can anybody help me with advice how to check if its high pressure fuel pump failure or maybe i have missed something??? (Hope dies the last
)Any picture of fuel injection system would be a great help for us.
