Wheel/hub question
Wheel/hub question
Quick question for the experts here. Are the rear hubs on the 250's the same as previous years? I'm trying to order a set of xd badlands wheels and I'm being told the hub on my 2017 is longer and the hub cap won't fit the rear. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I guess you have the HD250? I called Method about some wheels also, I'm going to go ahead and get them and just not use the cap on my F350, he said they will make a new cap, but its a few months away.
As far as i know, i do not have the new upgraded axle because i did not get the hd tow package. I'm guessing that all the wheel people just assume all the new trucks come with the larger axle. They are telling me that the hub sticks out further on the 17's so any wheel with a "push on" style center cap most likely wont fit where as one that bolts on will or spacers could be added to make it fit.
So Sota Off-road is increasing the size of the bore for '17, from 125 to 130 to accept the M275 14 bolt rear (also caps don't fit). Also, a 125 will fit on the M275...so am I to believe there will be 5mm slop in the bore? That's not good on a hub-centric wheel. What am I missing?

Due to offset, I decided to go with SOTA Novakane's in 20x9 with 0mm offset with 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The center caps for these wheels snap on and have a metal ring inside the clips of the cap to insure the tabs stay locked into the wheel. In order to get the rear caps on, I had to remove the steel ring and smack the center cap pretty firmly in order to get it seated all the.
I have a set of standards from my gmc. i test fit the cap, it fits. I called method, they said the 130mm bore caps fit. I have a new set for my F350 sitting at the tire shop
