Great forum, new to the site. I have a 65 f100 with a 351w and wondered if anyone has any thoughts on headers for this configuration? I'd really like full size headers but haven't a clue on where to start? Given what I'm seeing I'm not sure if I can do full size headers(without major cutting) but I don't want shorties. If anyone has already gone through this your input would be greatly appreciated.
Bro there was never a 351W installed before the 80s in a F series so recommendations will be few. None factory. When I did my FE 352 I installed Hooker Super Hi Comp, long tubes and it worked well.

Welcome to FTE!! Food for thought?? If already have not done so and intend upgrading to power steering may present an issue depending upon type of steering box.
Swapped engine for a 302 and found it set slightly lower then the original, not sure about the 351w? Installed Hooker Long Tube and found there is little, if any, clearance between the collector and cross member. To install the passenger side header had to lift the engine slightly then insert the header before setting the engine in place.
In my case, engine does not put out enough RPM to warrant header's, intend going back to stock when time to replace exhaust system.
Would be interested in other members 351w installation experience. Again, welcome to FTE, looking forward to your input!!
Guy from Canada here and I will be checking into the availability of the 351w in the dentsides. I am old and senile looking with my grey beard and hair but cannot get the seniors discount yet lol. Anyway I seem to recall seeing many emissions decals calling for a 351w.
