Tires slingin rocks

I just went and looked all over my truck in some good UV sunlight looking for a bullet hole. Coming home last night when I got up to speed it sounded like my truck to got hit. I've got grabber HTS and I've never had a truck that makes so much noise when the rocks fly out of the tread. Maybe the XLs have less soundproofing coupled with the bottom of the doors on our trucks. The next one I heard I recognized the sound of my step being hit. I've also had the gravel that acted like it was in a roulette wheel ricocheting around before falling to the road.

Well, you aren't going to prevent it unless you switch tires. You could spray the wheel wells with rubberized undercoating. Painted rocker panels can be coated with that clear adhesive sheeting.

The xl's do have less sound dampening. Just thin rubber floor vs carpet and padding. Mud flaps and rear wheel well liners should help catch some rocks. I just live with it.
