Seems like kind of a strange thing to replace but after 200k miles, the original was pretty beat up in the front. Several of the fins were smashed flat, was filled with bugs that were wedged in so far they were nearly irremovable and more importantly, had a couple of small leaks causing the A/C to not hold a charge. The new one looks about 10x better than the original that looked liked trash.

 

They do seem very vulnerable wonder why there can't be a screen or something to trap all the mosquitoes love bugs and stuff.

 

Yeah, I've never owned another vehicle that had such a beat up cooler in the front. The original looked like it had been through a war.

 

How hard was it to recharge the system
