4Weelin in sand
To anyone who has spent some time on sand.Last weekend I took my truck out on the beach for a short distance.As soon as i hit the soft sand the truck started to do a severe wheel hop and was jumpin all over.I have bfg 33'sX12.5 tires that i run 50 lbs of air in.Will airing down the tires stop the wheel hop?

airing down will help a lot on the sand... u didn't mention if you were running the AT or the MT tire.... the mud tire will dig more as the lugs act as little shovels while the AT tire will float more (as it should in the sand)..... i was playing on th ebeach yesterday (shhhh, don't tell anyone) and my TSL's were digging HARD (didn't get stuck nor did i air down)..... no shudder for me, but as i was trying to climb the rocks on the jetty i did dig a foot or so down in the rear when my front tire lost it's bite.....

Airing your tires down will eliminate your wheel hop. You can prob. drive around in two wheel drive and not get stuck until you romp the trottle and dig the tires in. I drive in the sand all the time (Pismo and Glamis)I run 35in pro comp x-terrains and have never got stuck. I run the front tires a 17psi and rears at 15psi.
