I recently bought a set of gt40p heads for my 82 f-150 with a 302. i would like to add roller rockers to them but im not sure whether i need rail or non-rail or what. i also need new pushrods but the catalogs all say "ford 69-86" or similar, and i was wondering whether this means the block or the heads. ony info would be appreciated.
You need rockers for pedestal mount like THESE.
You can get others cheaper, this is just an example.
When they say pushrods are for a certain app. they mean both head and block. The stock pushrods for your motor 'should' be fine. I would wait on buying them until you have the new rockers installed and checked for proper geometry with your old ones. You may need to buy a different length, but I doubt it. You should be able to use a shim kit to adjust.
