Headlights and creature comforts

ive googled. Can't find much - on dealer photos I see a slight led strip on the halogen lights on the side of the light next to the turn signal. Is this actually there or no?

to those of you who have the lariat ultimate package - are the lights and extra comforts worth that 3k?

I have HID in my current rig and they do fine just curious if anyone who opted to not get the LEDs do you regret that?

as far as that goes when it comes to creature comforts I currently drive a loaded SLT sierra 1500. I don't use the navigation that much but do use it. The heated seats I use and the cooled seats I don't because they suck.

I know I want Lester seats, the tail gate step and parking sensors rear view camera, 4x4. Some other stuff I'm forgetting to mention.

The xlt and lariat do they have a huge difference besides the leather? I know options can be added - just looking for feed back on different trims. A lariat ultimate would be as far as I could go unless it and king ranch are the same price. Which I do not even see the big deal about king ranchs

No LED strip on halogen lights. But FDNY in another thread did replace the halogen headlights with LED lights for about $2k. There are going to be other retrofit kits out there to modify the halogen lights that are going to be cheaper than the 3k and probably cheaper than the OEM LED conversion. The f250 halogen lights are way better than my 2014 silverado z71 with halogens.

Other creature comforts come standard on the lariat (and definitely get the value lariat pkg at minimum with lariat) that you can't get on the XLT or the cost is going to be roughly the same after you add them all to the XLT.

I would opt for the 360 camera system if I could do it again.

I didn't get the LED headlights. I don't think the Halogens are very bright on the brights setting. I've heard the LEDs are great. As far as the Lariat Ultimate package, I like pretty much all it has to offer. The power adjusting peddles are a bit much for most people I suppose. I've used them once... when I first set it up. Something I wouldn't have ordered were the box lights, but now that I have them, I love them! What a great feature. Especially with a tonneau cover. My wife and I love the double moon roof. I know some don't. The memory seats are great as the wife and I are about a foot different in height so we each have our own memory setting. The easy entry/exit feature is nice as well. The push button start is a great feature. You never have to dig the keys out of you pocket. As long as you have them on you, you're good to go. The tailgate step is really nice, but the remote tailgate release is no big deal to me. Of course the heated / cooled seats are really nice. I haven't tried the cooled seats since I bought mine in November and probably won't need them here in western Washington for another 6 months... I also got the chrome package just because it was already on the truck. It's a nice cosmetic feature. Basically, I really love this truck. I do need to get some larger AT tires though...

I have it, LAriat ultimate. Mtpy previous truck was a lariat, this one is even better and it was a damn good truck. I wasn't crazy about the sunroof, didn't really need the navigation, I know where I am going. But, it is all proving useful. Really do recommend everything you can get. I am going to add the trailer tow pack, other than that, wouldn't change a thing. Won't need until I get a 5vr. Kinda wish I had the 360 cameras, no regrets whatsoever. I don't need all these bells and whistles but dang they are all sure handy.

When I ordered my truck I didn't order LED's. On the way home it got dark and I (oddly) met a 2017 Super Duty on a back road that had LED headlights. They were so bright that I flashed him thinking he had high beams on. He flashed me back and it was almost painful. Those lights are really something.
The next day I called the dealer and changed my order to a King Ranch that had LED's. (I was considering a KR anyway) I'm glad I did. The automatic dimming headlights are VERY nice (standard on the KR) as you never have to worry about high beaming someone. They are very dependable about quickly dimming.

I can foresee someone who's had too much to drink or a little hot headed getting into a fight over these lights.

LED Lights IMO are a must have option, yes they are worth the extra $. Automatic wipers are nice but I could have lived without them (in trailer tow package). Did not think I would use 360 camera much but I ordered all cameras minus trailer camera and glad I did. 360 camera comes in handy in parking lots or even if you live where neighbor dogs run out and around your vehicle all the time. Would have got supplemental heater if I were to do it again.
