I guess people didn't have drinks and a ton of other crap when these trucks were made. I found a decent looking console Amazon, but it was pretty pricey. So being cheap, I stole their idea started making my own.

I hate not having cup holders haha. Does the counsel just sit there? Seems like it might slide around. but awesome work, I was thinking about making one that slides out from under the middles bench seat.
Cut some slots to feed the seat belt through to secure it to the seat. Or, hide something inside to run the belt through. Also put some thin foam under the vinyl to soften the feel.
On the subject of cupholders, many years ago, US Mercedes-Benz dealers started getting requests for cupholders from buyers, & of course the dealers forwarded that request to Mercedes-Benz designers. The German automaker didn't understand beverages in automobiles. At that time in Germany, drivers pulled over to drink and eat. Drinking and dining were treated with greater reverence, I think, & driving distractions were frowned upon.
